A little yes and a little no. Its just your standard little girls jumper pattern but the bodice is completely lined and the tulle is attached to the lining of the dress. The sash is inserted in the sides so you can tie it either way and it has a zipper up the back. All seams are to the inside on the lining towards the dress so you can't see any seams (did that make sense?). I remember cussing about the zipper around the lining and gathering part but I eventually got it set nicely and love the way it turned out. I had to completely take out the bottom lining once because I used an actual lining fabric instead off a soft cotton the first time and accidentally melted part of it ironing around the gathers on the inside. That's what I get for messing with it too much.  She loves it though so I'm happy. I'd like to post the Christmas one as well but don't know where to post it.

Possibly the cutest dress that I have ever seen
I would usually kind of glance at something like this and think.."eh...it's the fabric that's cute here."
But the way you have put this together is fabulous!

Okay, I posted it under completed clothing projects titled Not Just Another Holiday Dress or something like that. Honest opinions please I would hope I am getting them from my best friend about them... I mean she IS letting her little girl wear the dresses...let's hope it's not just "Oh, Aunt Melissa's coming we better put your dress on!" LOL, kinda like that awful present you only pull out when the person who gave it to you is coming over!

Lucky girl!  Heck, I would use that fabric to make something for me...ha ha--you did what every seamstress loves to do--add trim and other touches that makes an outfit unique and special!!  The contrasting trim and bow makes the dress girly, but not too frilly!! Love the tulle underneath...and nice save from your boo-boo!
