I remember once I decided to get creative with my mom's nail polish by mixing them together to make new colours.  I'm not sure if that's considered crafty, but she definitely wasn't very pleased with me, lol.  Oh, and also I once thought her pinking shears would be excellent for cutting bangs.  (tip: they really aren't)

Reading through these comments brought up some fun and fond memories! My mother did cross stitch often, and she would set me up with my own pattern and hoop, and I just loved it. Well my mother had finished a beautiful piece that took quite some time, and I was looking at it, and thought the back of it looked way too messy...so I took scissors and cut off all the little knots in the back. I went to show my mom how I had cleaned it up and made it look nicer, and she freaked! I had no clue why she was reacting that way! Now I get it! Smiley

OMG, Lady Pistola, LOL.  I am horrified that you did that!!!  Your mom must have unbelievable self control that you're here to tell the tale, lol.  Wow.  I may have a nightmare about that tonight.

When my brother was two our mother took a weaving course.  She kept the work in a bag by her bed, until one day my brother decided he wanted to go fishing.  So he got out the bag, pulled out the sticks holding together, and started pulling out some yarn.  At the next class my mom was in tears, while everybode else spent the hour sorting it all out for her.  She never crafted again after that.

I love the stitching of the underpants!  I'll have to remember that if I ever get really mad at my husband  Grin

After reading through this thread I guess I should stop thinking that "my kids would never", and start cleaning up every night.  I wont dare to think about what they can do to a wedding gown  Shocked

I remember doing various things with my sister such as making potions (combining things like moisturiser and shaving foam in the bathroom) perfume (flowers and water mushed up) and giving my barbies a punk hair cut and colouring them in with felt tips.

The worse things I did were wrecking the needle on my parents record player (don't remember that one)
Using my mother's expensive sewing scissors to try and cut a pin causing a kink in them (she still has them and reminds me about it if I ever use them)
The worse thing I ever did was scratch "sarah smells" (my sister) into my parents piano. I remember telling them it wasnt me...
