I couldn't help but try this one more time...  It's cold in mass now., (who would of thought!!), and I stayed in this weekend and did some sewing...

WOW that is one tiny waist!  Are you naturally really slim or is the corset doing most of the work?  It's awesome and looks really well-made.

It pulled my waist, 3 -3.5" in... I think... (fully closed it's about 20." around.. and I didn't have it fully closed..)
I used crazy industrial zip ties for the boning, which I had it on for 1-2 hours, and they seem to be holding up,  There are a couple of lose threads that still needed to be cut and stuff... But I couldn't wait.. I had to try it on.

Hooray for industrial zip ties... I used a combination of those and "real" steel boning in the corset I'm currently working on.  They're awesome in my opinion, and so much cheaper than steel!  I got 300 for $6... I calculated it out and that came to about 5 cents a yard.  As opposed to about $10 a yard for the steels.  Totally worth it.

I love it! I wish I could use the zip ties, but in the costume shop we do things the 'real' way, but I might just have to make one with zip ties over the summer.

You got 300 for $6? Where? I spend about $4 per package of 10, I think. It's been a while since I bought some. I'd love to buy them in bulk... especially since I use about 3 packages per corset. I buy them at Home Depot.

I linked (at the top) to the post that gave the tutorial on how to make it, I used Roethke's way.
The zip ties, well I grabbed mine out of the trash when the new 12 color auto press came in... Smiley  <---- trash picker...  
But I'm sure you can get them at like home dept exc...
