Hello! Complete newbie here, so be gentle with me. I'm sure a million other people have arrived at this pattern, but I just worked it out last week after messing about with slouch bags for the last year. I've been refering to it as the bucket because - especially with only one strap - it looks like a bucket.

And some actual photos...

*edited now I've got 15 posts and can put up pics

a) thank you!

b) yes, they're old duvet covers - i've been using them for about a year and i love them to bits. they tend to be quite thin so most things need lining, but they make great summer dresses (especially girly prints like rainbow brite and my little pony).

i just think it's a shame that there's all this yummy fabric out there languishing at the back of people's linen closets.

I have made several bags similar to this before, and I love them. They're so versatile!:) (I'm going to make one similar for my lunch bag. I need to take my lunch in something other than a walmart bag. Roll Eyes Considering I work at walmart... and I always have to tell the doorgreeters "it's lunch! Not merchandise!") But anyways, I ramble too much. I love the fabrics you used.Cheesy So cute!:D:D
