when it comes to the end of the year, we should all take a second picture to see what we made, and what's left.

I am in too.  I have a 'small' box in my closet and a HUGE under the bed container full.  I have started to try and use it up, I just made a pair of baby socks for the neighbour
with some of what I have YAY.

If anyone has any spare funfur hanging around, you can send it here until Feb 28.  I have 1 hat done and one to start (yes, I bought yarn specifically for this)

I am seriously considering a knitting machine to make scarves with all the small balls.

EDIT:  The winter 06/07 issue of knitsimple (vogue) has a chart for knitting socks in DK, Sport and Worsted weights.  It gives you size of needle, how many to cast on, how many for turning the heel etc. I am currently using worsted weight for the baby socks.  Now, a use for all that chunky weight I have.

yay - some stash has gone!

i started with some random brown/cream/grey oddments. most of it is far too itchy to make anything wearable.

and here's the final product. a new knitting bag (please excuse the ends sticking out.

extreme close up!

i lined it with some canvas from my fabric stash (getting rid of both my stashes!) and inside you can see my next project, a entrelac afgan.

okay, so I'm going to join in with this knit a long.  I don't have a huge stash, but I'd really like to declutter my life overall and using what I already have in terms of fiber (yarn and fabric), will definitely help with that!  Also, I don't want to move it all in July when I move into a new house.  Yuck!!!  I already moved my huge fabric/yarn stash twice.  Once from TN to WI and then to a new townhouse in WI.  Moving all of it equals not fun.  Not to mention how happy my fiance will be if it becomes a managable collection.

I'm just hoping my sister finds out she's going to have a girl (she's preggers and finds out what it will be in March).  That would help me get rid of most of my stash.

Current project is thermal from Knitty.  I have some pink baby yarn that was originally a tank top that ended badly and I ripped out.  Hope this goes better!

Ive been making good head way on my Chunky Cardigan from Simple Knits for Cherished Babies.  I put chunky in parenthesis because Im using Rowan All Seasons Cotton from my stash.  Only in baby knitting would that be considered chunky.

The only problem is so far I've used less then two balls of yarn.  The next sweater I'm going to start is going to be for me and will use a lot more yarn.
