Vermont craft stores??? Possibly Quebec too?

We're going to Vermont from Toronto for a week in March and I was wondering if anyone can recommend any good craft stores/book stores/bead stores/yarn stores that I could check out as I don't ski and plan on using the week to read/craft/shop.

We may be going through Quebec and Lake Placid to get there - if I can persuade DH for a pit stop - anyone know the route and any interesting stores along the line?

To be specific, we are going to be in Killington.  Bear Run?  Something like that.

There's a great little yarn store in Woodstock (which is a bit east of Killington on Route 4).  It's called Whippletree and is right on Rt. 4...very cute, and the ladies are extremely friendly and helpful.
