Hand in unloveable hand...

Ok, this isn't really done, I still have to do one more hand embroidery and sew the pockets on. But, HOLY CRAP! This is probably the coolest AND nerdiest thing I've ever made.

Joshua, my lover, wearing the apron.

Back detail of the strings to tie it, Made from the contrasty fabric and bias tape.

This is a close up view of the contrasting fabric I used on the side. It is space and HOLY CRAP is it amazing!

A close up of the front of the apron. I LOVE LEONARD NIMOY. FOR REAL.

Hand embroidery of the starfleet emblem. I am also making an embroidery of the enterprise itself. These will be the designs on the pockets on the front of the apron.

I'm torn on whether I want to say this is "done" or if I want to add the pockets etc.

Suggestions?

I am so proud of myself. I love this thing so much. I can't wait to have it completed. I am in love with Leonard Nimoy, all over again.

I'm off to try to find Star Trek TNG on television.

I have to say, the Ballad of Bilbo Baggins was a pretty sweet song.

and you should totally add the pockets, what is an apron with no place to put your laserwhisk?

That is probably one of the coolest things I've seen on here yet!  I love the contrast of the fabrics great job!  I do think you should add pockets, but kinda low because you woudn't want to mar Spocks beauty!
