oh man, those are so neat! i was kinda bummed at first 'cause i also, didn't have a heat gun or the money to buy one, but i have plenty of candles!
i really really want to try this one right now, but my mom is paranoid and afraid that i'll burn the house down or get poisoned from the plastic fumes. i guess this is a craft that will have to wait until after school tomorrow when she's gone. ^_^
what i neat idea!

I need to try this.  Can you make them without a heat gun?

Thanks so much for the clear tute verdilak Grin

I've had fun this morning making these beads, it's like a poor man's version of lampwork beads Grin
I couldn't resist making a pendant with the base of the bottle Smiley

RubyTuesday- I love the pendant you made from the bottom of the bottle. Did you poke a hole in it before you melted it? And, I really like the nice cheerful colors you used. What a great collection of little beads!

Thanks craftADDchick   Smiley

No, I didn't make a hole in it before I heated it, it shrinks quite a bit when you heat it up so i thought a hole would probably disappear in the shrinking process!!  Cheesy I plan to try and either make a hole with a hot needle or drill it

That's what I figured, but I probably would have tried and then been cursing as I watched the hole disappear Wink

Hmmmm...now I'll have to remember to bring home all of the bottles that are piling up on my desk at work...
