I believe a blow dryer is too low of heat, since it's designed to not burn hair. Whereas heat guns are meant to melt plastic and whatnot... anywhere from 300 degrees to 1500 degrees depending on the gun... lower heats take much longer to melt, but then again, you do have more control on the melt. They arent too terribly expensive.

Oh! This is so great!! How may exclamation points can I use?!!!!

Anyway, lots of coffee today, but I know my heat gun is around somewhere, and my last 50% of coupon got me a huge card of many colors of sharpies...I'll be doing this soon, I'm sure.

Thanks for this post!

This is an awesome idea and I will definitely have to try it too! I love making my own beads and this is similar to the shrink plastic that I am positively addicted too.

Intriguing . . .  I may have to look for a heat gun.

Incidently, I find the "Do not use on hair" sticker hilarious.   Cheesy

I recently got a friend addicted to knitting.  The look of madness and terror in her eyes as she whispered, "Maybe just one more round and then I'll stop . . ." will warm my twisted heart for weeks.
