Love the stripes! Pre-colored bottles?

And what's the candle flame method?

Thanks Cheesy NO the bottles were clear & colored with neon colored perm markers from the Dollar Tree; and they were held over a candle flame instead of using a heat gun

Coolio! Thanks 4 this. Aquafina brand bottles (the 16 ounce ones) of water have repeating grooves at 1 cm intervals, making it easy to add stripes, etc. Cut vertically for the ridges, or horizontally for a "pre-marked" 1 cm width strip.

I experimented with candle flame, so far only with a useless piece of the bottle. It shrinks nicely, I hope it will work well with the beads.
