Hey! I'm glad to see you moving on this idea. I really hope it takes off. I would like to start something similar in Lexington - I just need to tap into UK for fellow craftsters.

Have you found any like-minded locals yet?

I've found a few, I actually posted on Freecycle and got a few hits. Smiley

Cool! If you guys set up a meeting, let me know. I would love to drop in.

I found a Stitch n Bitch group in Lexington but they are totally dedicated to knitting. Too bad. I'm interested in learning how to knit and all, but that's not my main focus.

Is your group going to do revolving topics? Or maybe just have people bring over their projects and work?

While the Lexington snb is mostly knitters, there are still plenty of non-knitters that show up and craft along. Don't be scared away by the name.

Yeah, the name is a little intimidating. I would like to have some people to hang out with while I do my stitching -- but I don't really knit.

Any suggestions for a good day of the week to join in? I looked at the calendar on the snb website but didn't know where to start...

Thanks! Cheesy

frankfortcraftclub@yahoogroups.com is still going. I believe we have 85 members and about 6 meet here in Frankfort on a regular basis. Please feel free to join us too. We do all kinds of crafts, but focus on crochet, knit, plastic canvas, and a few others. lora3_99@yahoo.com Smiley
