i'm learning to sew Smiley three dresses made already, and this is my first top. i'm going to make another from the pattern. it's not super duper flattering, but i feel like an artiste when i wear it.



for my comments on fit, etc see the blog please.

also, the whole thing is a bit gapey around the neckline. does that mean it's a size too big? i can't work out what is wrong witht he fit to make the neckline gape?

Looks good to me!  I wish I could wear that style, it is so adorable.  But with my gut I'm afraid people would ask when the baby's due.  I think you did a fabulous job!

I agree this is gorgeous! wheres the pattern from? as soon as these exams are over i'm learning to sew! i would love to make a dress lke that! i agree with direvero tho not sure i could cope with the baby due comments!! ah well! Grin

Wonderful job.  The neckline gapes because it is on the bias and maybe you haven't stayed it with stay tape
