The Great UK Round-Robin Journal Swap Gallery!

These journals have been an ongoing project for 3 months, being passed on every 2 weeks. They have been labours of love and the artwork produced truely great!

Each member created their own journal which was passed on to the next person in turn to create a double page spread. Some have themes, some were left to our wild imaginations. We decided to show these as complete journals so that each theme would be intact.

I think I can speak for all when I say this has been a fabulous swap!

Here we go!  Lucky me, I was the first to get my journal back, and I had designed it to include exactly the same number of spreads as participants, so it is FULL of gorgeousness!  Now I need to design cover art worthy of the contents!

First of all, here is my contribution, the title page, with sign-in envelopes - each person has done a little card with photo and bio, and I won't be putting those on the web, obviously, but you can see the noses peeking out!  I just used the six colours of the rainbow as my theme, hence the name of the journal.



And then the spreads - people were free to pick whichever colour they fancied, although obviously the choices got fewer as the swap progressed - sorry pinkangel!

This is actually an even more intense purple; I tweaked it slightly lighter so you could see the lovely stitching better.

While my camera battery charges up so I can take piccies, here's the cover and inside of my journal...

I chose poems and song lyrics for my theme. The card on the second photo was for people to sign.

Looking back at this, I suddenly remembered that I'd used a skewer to make the ridges along the cover, not string as I'd told Stephen, sorry for the duff information!

Wonderful Bushbaby! Even though I've just seen that entire journal for real, the pictures look so great alltogether up here.

I can't remember if I put on it that that exerpt was Edward Gory or not.
