Hi-

I've got a basic costume going for my son and I want to attach a ribbon around the collar to sort of finish it off. Here's what I'm trying to achieve:

Can anyone tell me how to get a straight ribbon onto a curved collar?!

TYIA!!

Do you have a certain type of ribbon you need? Otherwise, I would use bias tape-being cut on the bias makes it easier to attach them to curves.

It's a cut edge ribbon- I know, I shouldn't be using it for a sewing project but it was all I could find that the boy approved of..lol.

If it helps (grinz because she know it won't) it's really pretty blue with gold stars. hehe.

I figured it out hehe. I scrapped the curve idea, sewed the ribbon onto a square piece, then sewed that onto the collar so it flops over from the inside.

Not the prettiest thing, but he's 2 so he doesn't care..lol

And yes...wizard it is- which is MUCH better than the teletubbie he had orginally settled on.
