I love spring break. I finally have time to sew some new things. I've already made four dresses in the first three days. The first three are all the same pattern, I think it was McCall's M5377

This one was a practice dress because i wanted to try out he pattern before i used the red and blue silk that I'd been saving for a while. It was a very cheap lining material and really isn't very shining in person, the pictures make it look weird

close up of the zipper, I'm so happy it actually looks decent. and its not crooked its just a bad picture

The red and blue silk I've been dying to use but afraid to mess up

Close up of the bodice, the straps are made out of bias tape

and the zipper and fabric close up

I liked that pattern so much that i decided to make another one

probably should have ironed it first haha

pleating detail

and the back, i wish i had a white zipper but unfortunatly i had to use black. i think it still looks okay thou

and finally this last one was some free burda pattern

I like it better with the belt

pleating details

and the back

Very cute dresses.  My fav is the gold and cream but I also like the gingham one.

the pattern is so easy, its definatly a good dress to try if your a beginner
and it doesn't take a long time to make, probably like 2 hours per dress
