B&N on 49 in Gulfport is great. Wiggins is 35/40 mins. north of Gulfport. It was once 30 mins. but with all the road construction it takes longer.

Im not in MS anymore, but thats where I grew up! Im originally from Saucier (in the middle between wiggins and Gulfpor/orange grove). Too bad I didnt hear about this site while I was still living there! I moved 2 weeks after the hurricane to Texas, and now Im in WA.

I'm originally from Gulfport/Orange Grove, but I live in New Orleans now.  I still come over to the Coast often enough, and I definitely keep an interest in what's going on over there.  I actually founded and maintain a MS Gulf Coast community on Livejournal: http://community.livejournal.com/msgulfcoast and I try to keep up with the Gulf Coast Bands forum: http://messageboard.gulfcoastbands.com/index.php


I'm a member of the New Orleans Craft Mafia over here, and so I do indie craft fairs and stuff fairly regularly over here...we're trying to get a monthly market started for this fall.

My mom actually owns the big flea market on Menge Avenue and I-10...she's been leasing the land to FEMA since Katrina, but supposedly they're going to be done in September, so she's trying to get the flea market back up and running this fall.  Once that happens I'll probably be setting up over there on weekends selling my stuff.
