My edlest half sister and her family just got an unexpected $3000 tax cut/break/refund and chose to give it all towards fixing my teeth (I'm only 18, my four front upper teeth were literally rotting away) i had already started the multiple appointment treatment, my parents had borrowed exactly $3000 from my grandma to do so. my family is not well off finacially, so i can't begin to express how much that $3000 meant.

i can't even articulate how it feels to have people care so much.

i would like to give her a big smiling picture when everything's done (with a nasty before picture hidden on the back of the frame) but that doesn't feel nearly enough. i have no idea what to do. maybe have a party for them when it's all done? Any and all ideas appreciated.

thanks in advance!

the picture is a great idea, why not decoupage the frame with pictures of smiles? or angels? (you sister sounds like one) or a mix of her favorite things? Smiley

I don't have anything to contribute but I just had to say WOW. That really bought a tear to my eye. I can feel the love  Smiley

That's really wonderful! I'm sure that seeing you with a beautiful smile will be enough for your sister, she obviously cares for you very deeply  Cheesy
But I totally understand wanting to repay her somehow. Sorry, I don't have any ideas that aren't hideously lame  Undecided

How about a beautiful hand-written letter?  :-)
Depending on how handy you are with silly drawings, you could make a little silly fairy-tale like book, casting your sis as the hero.
Or, you could make her a business-card sized note that says something sentimental/grateful -- that way she can always carry it with her in her wallet and know how much her gesture means to you.
I am so happy for you! ! !
