i know that somewhere, out in the web world, there is a site (well, i think there are a couple) that is selling jewellery made from old plastic bottles like shampoo bottles... this might sound tacky or bad, but really, the jewellery was pretty cool (well, i kinda liked it) bt very overpriced. I'm sorry i cant help with actual names or urls, but... oh wait! I found one of them! Spacefruit: http://www.myspacefruit.com/spacefruit/jewellery_view_two.php?id=14
even if you don't like the exact style of her designs, it'll give you some ideas.

I think someone on here used those green Fructis bottles a vases. I mean, sure, it strips your hair and makes you sneeze but they're cool shapes and the green is really nice, too. I reckon you could try and grow stuff in them, too.

a lot of the written stuff on bottles is actually stickers.  Then there is gummy residue... but the ones that are printed onto the bottles come off pretty well with a light sanding.

Also, it could be kind of cool and funky to leave the words on... who knows.  Good luck!

i love the jewelery idea

- you can also get them refilled with diff things at bulk stores. like grassroots in toronto - i bring my old shampoo bottles to get filled with new shampoo/conditioner or with vinegar, etc.

- make a birdfeeder

- i like the plant pot/vase idea - esp if they're clear tehn you could do a water plant thing and see the roots

I've seen people on here use sturdy strips of bottles as boning in corsets.

Organizers. Just cut off the top (Or alot more, if what you're putting in them is tall-ish) and then fill with all those beads/buttons/oddements that crafters always seem to have.
