My sister is going to be married in Slovakia by the end of the year ( we are not Slovak). I am curious as to whether anyone here has ever made any items of "kroj"(?) pronounced "kroy," or native folk costume of the Czech and Slovak area. I haven't seen any patterns for this type of dress in the Folkwear catalog. If my sister just goes ahead and gets her dress made in Slovakia, perhaps I will still try and make something traditional for my two-year-old daughter to wear.
Thanks for any help!

I know nothing about kroje (except that "kroje" is the plural of "kroj"  ^_^), but if you haven't turned up this site yet, it might help:  http://acscc.org/Papers/kroj_guidelines.html.  I guess there are regional distinctions betwen kroje that are important to consider.  Hope this helps.
