On another site I participated in a fill-a-matchbox swap.  The idea was to find a small matchbox, decorate it (most were decorated simply, just covered in paper or a collage or something like that), then stuff it with little things.  It's amazing how many tiny things you can fit in a matchbox -- brads, buttons, threads, tiny pictures, various tiny embellishments, etc.  There were no extras -- the challenge was to see how much you can fit into a tiny matchbox.

The little bits are great to use as embellishments for a variety of things, like ATCs, scrapbooks, altered books, and so on.  I was really surprised by how many interesting, useful things I got in the swap.

Would anyone be interested in doing something like that here?

Edited to add:  Here is a picture from the swap mentioned above.  I really did get all that stuff into one tiny matchbox.  I think I crammed even more stuff in before sending it.

Edited again to add:  Here is the swap thread for round 1

I love that idea.   That's the size swap I can get with right about now...

I love this idea too! As long as my feedback from my first swap comes through beforehand.

*nervous waiting*

Well, it sounds like people wouldn't want to do this until mid-February, which would be fine with me.  I'll organize it then, unless someone else wants to do it sooner.  In the meantime, I'll try to find some pictures of the box I got in the other swap I did.

I love this idea as well!  I won't be eligible to swap until early feb, so that would be perfect!!!

one question: how small of a matchbox?? i've seen them in different sizes. this way i can be prepared.
