What a lovely Saguaro Cactus!  (I happen to live in the Sonoran Desert, the only place in the world where Saguaros are (naturally) found.)  It's very cute - although at first not-really-paying-attention glance it looked like some kind of mitten sculpture!  ICLH!!!

I'm sorry for be too late, but here is the pattern:

- Crochet hook
- Yarn
- Stitch marker
- Something to put inside the cactus (fill up(?))

Ch 20
1- Sc 6 rows
2- 2Sc in each St for 5 next stitches, Sc next 15 St
3- 2Sc in each St for next 10 st, sc next 15 st.
4- Sc 1 row
5- Sc next 5 St and put a stitch marker in this stitch, Sc 10 St and go to the stitch marker to make a little tube, like this:

(take of the stitch marker)

6- In the little tube Sc 4 rows
7- Sc 2, sc2tog for 1 row
8- Sc1, Sc2tog for 1 row
9- Close the branch, so you'll have:

10- Make this at the end of the branch, where it joins with the other tube and Sc 2:

11- Continue making the tube until your desire lenght.
12- Sc 3, Sc2tog for 1 row
13- Sc2, Sc2tog for 1 row
14- Sc1, Sc2tog for 1 row
15- Finish and close.

Now, you've got the cactus, fill it with cotton or something like this and turn to the hole:

Start crocheting to close it:

1- Sc 1 row
2- Sc2tog to the end and close

And that's it Smiley. I have to say that if the cactus doesn't stay up, you can sew in the finish so the base will be strong.

I added eyes and mouth Wink.
If you don't understand the pattern, please say to me and I'll help you.
I hope all is correct, that's my first crochet pattern.

Be happy!!

I wanna rock!!
