Who's in Asheville???

I'm in West Asheville   I've only been here since July '06.  My girlfriend's parents, brother (and his wife and son) lived here, so it was very great to move here with them.  I love it here so much!!  But I don't know anyone either.  I just don't know how to meet like-minded folks.   

I've been here since July 05 and it's darn hard to meet people here!  I know it's supposed to be a great, friendly place and all... but dang!  lol

I work from home so that makes it even harder   I would love a craft group!

Oooh ... I'm in West Asheville also.   I transplanted here from Seattle about 7 months ago.    So far I'm loving it!   But I'm having the most difficult time meeting people with same interests also.

I'm pretty sure Kyrie's nuts, because it takes me 3 hours to get to Charlotte from Cullowhee, and I've driven it dozens of times.
But it's about 1:40-2 hours to get to Charlotte from A-ville.
Sooo, when Kyrie and my other crafty friend move in December, I'm going to need new crafty friends near Cullowhee/Asheville.

i will most likely be moving to Swannanoa within the next couple months.  (swannanoa is right outside Asheville) so once i move i would love to meet some crafty friends

I just moved to Asheville about a month and half ago.I'm new to craftster as well!I've only met one person that crafts at my work so it's cool to know there are others nearby.

I've lived in Asheville for almost 4 years - I go to UNC-Asheville. I'm going to be moving after I graduate, which is very sad, but I'd be up for meeting local crafty folk. I knit, sew, and make beaded earrings.
