So inspired by everyone's hoodies here, I had to try my own.  I need pockets in my hoodies, but I don't have the ability to sew them, so I decided to use the pockets already in the dress pants as hoodie pockets.  I like how it turned out.

I like super long sleeves, so here they are out of the pockets.  First I sewed some of the dress pant material on, then a little more of the black knit material at the end.

Sorry about the blurry "hood up" pic, my son started to get fussy and want me to pick him up.

Here are the two articles of clothing I used to make it.  I did have to buy a zipper and some new thread too.

Let me know what you think, and if a mom over 30 can pull this off...  My husband is not so sure.

I love it! Of course you can pull it off, I'm also a 30-yr old mom and love things like this - make you look younger Wink

Hahaha, I'm gonna agree with everyone else and say wow! You can't be that old! I would have picked you early/mid twenties. You can def pull it off! And that's such a great idea to use the pants pockets like that!

Thats a great hoodie, and I think it looks really good on you. I never would have guessed that you were 30. At any rate, I say wear what you like and what you feel looks good on you.

Stop being so damned positive. Staring at the sun only blinds some one. By only looking at the positive, you miss an entire beautiful world of shadows and colors. Don't be overly negative, be realistic. The world is so much more complex and beautiful that way.

What, seriously? It's terrifically chic. Great design, looks well-made, fits you well, nice job! Bah, never let anyone tell you you're too-whatever for something you like. You should see some of the stupid crap I wear on a regular basis, and I'm older than thou. (Making some cut-off plaid golf pants capris tonight!)
