This is such a neat idea! Will you varnish/polyurethane them when they're done to seal them or help the durability?

I haven't decided- to seal or not to seal. My Aunt gave me several of these from Germany when I was little and they weren't 'sealed', just had the shine of a printed book page. They age well so I'm not sure. Maybe it will depend on the image...
Thanks for the feedback- I'm going to try varnish on a couple!

What glue do you use to attach the pictures?
This is a really neat idea, I don't think I've ever seen anything like it before.
Thanks for sharing!

I just picked up a bunch of kids books at a garage sale. That's a great idea!

i love this idea! your blocks are beautiful Smiley great soft colours...

few questions - where did you get the blocks that you've covered? & what glue did u use? did you cut the squares out first or glue first then cut them apart?

love your work, i'd buy em if i saw em!

Thanks again for all the feedback! I used Yes! Paste to adhere them and will seal some with varnish, leave some plain for a 'worn' look.
I found these blocks at the dollar store (!) in small sets but plan to make my own. I've made 6 sets like these and think I have it down.

Wow, those look really, really nice! There's just something about them that seem very soft and heartwarming... Smiley
