Its made from an old flannel sheet torn into 1 inch strips.   It took about 3/4 of the sheet!  The sheet had some pale beige stripes, hence the spotty look.

The pattern came from the 2007 Pattern a day calendar.  (It didn't call for a sheet however)

Edited to add new pic in better daytime light.

The pattern came from the 2007 Pattern a day calendar.

I love this! This would make a nicer gift for my canine "nieces and nephews"- better than the usual bunch of rawhide chews! Wink I have some flannel sheets that I could use- what a great idea! Did you stitch the strips together, or figure out a way to make a continuous strip?

And, I just got my 2007 Pattern-a-Day calendar yesterday- I didn't look through the whole thing, yet, though. What date is this from?

Thanks for all the nice compliments.

Its from August 21st.

Its not very hard.  Basically a rectangle of dc's.  The only stitching involved is stitching down the rounded bone ends.

I love my pattern a day calendar, but sadly I've misplaced the pattern for this bone, so I cant even give the pattern originator credit.  I wish this little calendar was in a 3 ring binder or something, because I've already misplaced 2 patterns from it!!!

I'm sure they'll turn up somewhere, but they are so small its not hard to lose them.

Maybe when you find them you could put all the patterns you like in a folder or binder or something so that you always know where they are.

All of the patterns that I get from craft stores, the internet or skeins of yarn end up in a cute folder by my crochet so if I want to try them out they are right there.

Just and idea :p

That is a great idea.  I am constantly downloading and printing off patterns only to misplace them.  My resolution every New Year is to become more organized.  Maybe this would help.
