This is a sweater I made for my 2 year old.  I didn't block it yet.

Here is a close up of the cables.

He's being a 2 year old and refusing to wear it!  I'll get it on him one of these days and force him to wear it in public.  I think he's fighting it because he knows how excited I am about him wearing it.  Is it terrific toddler or terrible toddler?!

You know the joke about toddlers...  What is the difference between a terrorist and a toddler?  You can reason with a terrorist.  Wink  (I have a 2yo too.)

It's just lovely, do win that battle to get at least one good picture of him wearing it!

I forgot to tell everyone where the pattern came from.  It's from a Classic Elite booklet.  I used Classic Elite Flash yarn, it's washable and dryable.

Thanks for the comments!   And I will get my son into it and take his picture, smiles or not!  hee hee!

Guacamole- funny joke!  Definately can't reason with a toddler

Looks amazing! I'm sure your son will look great in it (if you can ever get it on him, that is  Smiley ).

That sweater is bee-oo-tee-ful and once your toddler/terrorist/terrific lil'wunderkin lets you put it on him...he will look extra cute too!!  My 2 year old can be easily bribed with chocolate if you can't wait that long!!

That looks fantastic.

My kiddo's easier to get into sweaters when I let him wear a t-shirt underneath.

Good luck making it happen

WOW!  Keep this for a teddy bear or something once he outgrows the sweater.  It's something to keep and treasure.

That's a great sweater!! I agree. I would definitely keep this forever.

Don't feel bad about him not wearing it. My 19 year old doesn't wear the sweater I knit for him, either. He says it's "too fancy." (And he can't be bribed with chocolate.)

Thanks everyone for the great compliments!  I did get the sweater in him and took his picture, the whole time he was saying "take it off, take it off"!  I guess he's a t-shirt and jeans kinda guy.  I bet if I call it a "Wiggles sweater" or something like that he'll wear it.   Cheesy

My almost-2yo girl refused the sweater I made her, too, even though she picked out the yarn herself.  Her line was "all done green sweater!  bye-bye green sweater!" and then she threw it.  But I just kept it in sight for  few days, then started presenting it as an option for morning clothing choosing time, and eventually she picked it! woo hoo!  I outsmarted a toddler!  Of course, she's not *really* 2 yet...

beautiful sweater, btw.  Is it your own design?

LOL! I should have knitted my youngest (will be 3 soon) a sweater instead. If I called it a costume he would wear it. The blanket I made him, OTH...rejected!

He's a terribly terrific toddler. And you're a terribly terrific knitter & mom for making it for him  Grin

Yarnhag - I used a Classic Elite pattern.  It was an older one and I can't seem to find it...when I do, I'll post which one it was, sorry.

Thanks to everyone commenting, I'm feeling much better about this sweater!

I think I might try the "costume" approach or have it out as a choice everyday.  Sometimes if I call something a "cool dude......" he'll like it!  Silly silly boy!
