Crocheted standard spaghetti, generic brand, 1 minute undercooked, greased with vegetable oil. Method: a very thick hook and later fingers. Stitch: chain. Result: Yummy. Maybe an idea for a romantic Valentine's Day dinner for a patient, long-waiting housewife and her spouse? [this is supposed to be a heart]

Hope you like it.

Wow!   How many times did you have to start over? I can see me breaking them pretty regularly.  And that'd be some dinner!  I think my DH would just eat it and not notice that it'd been crocheted, and then he'd be in deep trouble.  Wink  Maybe I should stick to regular yarn...

This must be the first food crochet I have ever seen!! I also would like to know how you thought up this idea!!  I assume it is simple chain stitch--is the heart connected or did you just shape the chain into a heart?

is this your submission?  i totally thought about spaghetti, and then sea-weed but i don't have any.  i can't wait to see what else people come up with!  do i sign up or just post something? woops never mind, i see i'm a bit late, unless i run down to the 7-11 and grab some licorice!  hmm, maybe a plant? frozen little vine halo  DRATS, well i like your heart, you should put it in a plate with some red sauce and silverware (eat yo heart out).

This is sooo funny! I never would have thought of tring this! What does it look like when it is dried out? You could spray-seal it or paint it and hang it in the kitchen!

Thanks!!! I don't know where the idea came from, I was absentmindedly browsing craftster and cooking pasta for dinner and then... it clicked Grin

I already ate it, sorry, but I might save the next one, if there is any.

The chains are not connected because it is too hard to connect new *thread* while crocheting pasta LOL. They just form a heart.

weberly: check out this whole board!!! Much more entries! Smiley

Thank you everybody for looking. I appreciate it!
