I knit this green tam/beret/whatever you want to call it by sortof following a free pattern and adding cables and changing other little things. Pictures:
the top view

the side view (not very beret looking)

the view of me that my boyfriend thought made me look like a french person (that's a fake cigarette btw and a stuffed monkey on my shoulder...)

I hope those photos work!

I want to have fun. I want to shine like the sun. I want to be the one that you want to see. I want to knit you a sweater. I want to write you a love letter. I want to make you feel better. I want to make you feel free. --Joni Mitchell

The link to the pattern: http://www.michaels.com/art/online/projectsheet?pid=25106b&categoryid=32

I added an extra row of increase. And also, I didn't use stockinette stitch as you can see but rather cables with garter. And one more thing- I had to block this like crazy! It was very small when it was knit up but got much better once I blocked it.

holy crap. not only is that an amazing hat, but you look just like me. i seriously wondered if someone put a hat on me at some point and took a picture w/o me knowing. that is so weird.

I really like that hat a lot! The color is great and the style is super sassy. Gotta love the sass. Great job!
