Calcifer--Now with a pattern!

Okay, never having seen Howl's Moving Castle, I don't know who Calcifer is...but it doesn't matter because he is sooooo adorable! If you do post the pattern- I'm making one and he can sit on my desk at school (until a student steals him! )

I love Howl's Moving Castle!  And Calcifer ROCKS!  (I actually mananged to draw a decent pic of him one - I was so proud of myself!)  That is sooo awesome though - I got some copper fun fur on sale at JoAnns, so I think I'll make a couple as graduation presents for my friends in Anime Club at my school who are seniors.

Thanks for this pattern!  So while looking for Christmas stuff on Google I stumbled on Craftster and caught a glimpse of that sweet bear you have for an avatar I searched around for the pattern and found you had it for sale at etsy, only problem, I knit, and have no idea how to crochet, so I thought I could find a way to convert the pattern. I know I'm not so good at such things, so the best I could do was learn to crochet, so I could have that bear. I have a niece who's a few months old I would like to give it to on her first birthday.  So I taught my self how to crochet, and  made three scarves for my kids three days before Christmas.  The first one is a riot. It starts out fat, gets skinny, then fattish, and finally skinny again. By the time I made the last one there were no mistakes and it was square.  Then I started a another amigurmi that proved to difficult, so I thought I would try this guy.  Normally I hate working with fun fur it makes the stitches to hard to see, but I gave it a go.  I think he turned out pretty cute.  Some how my shape is off and the hair comes much lower, but I'll forgive myself.  Oh I didn't have orange, but I did have purple on hand so he's just a fun little critter.  I'm gifting it in a care package to a friends baby.

Excellent use of Fun Fur!  I don't know who Calcifer is but he is the cutest!
