Thanks for all of the compliments Grin

mebsmommy -
I am working on some directions, we've been out of town...
Basically, it is a lined zippered pouch, but you don't sew through the zipper at the sides-you make tabs for it to go in at the top...I have pics that will help it all make sense once you see them!  Stay tuned!

Thank you!!!!!! I can't wait!

Oooo! I'm so excited to see how it goes together!!  I love everything about it including the use.  I've resorted to keeping my "must haves"  in the pockets on my coat but it makes me a little lumpy.....well..... lumpier. Grin

Beautiful, professional job on this bag. I just love the clean lines. The strap is the perfect color, size, length and width. I am looking forward to seeing the pics too!

Tutorial added on original post!

marabul -I got the metal pieces at Wal-Mart in the jewelry aisle.  I also have some from Joann's and Hancock fabrics.  Some places have them with purse making supplies or with the sewing notions, but mostly they are mixed in with jewelry, and sometimes with the buttons...

Okay, tried my first one today and even though it didn't turn out good, I think I've got the idea.  Your tute was really good, I just need to learn to take my time and read the directions properly.  LOL  I ended up leaving the opening on the outer fabric (have made a ton of Jordy bags) and I just don't know why.  I also ended up in such a way with the zipper top that the other side of the zipper wouldn't allow me to sew the other side of the strap on so it turned into a wristlet.  I'm sure you can see the crooked seams but hey, it was my first try with a toddler that kept wanting my attention every 5 minutes.  Try, try again!!  Smiley
