My youngest daughter is 5 years old today, and I made her this birthday dress from a vintage (70`s) pattern.  She loved it!  I altered the pattern a little bit to eliminate the need for a zipper (I dont know how to insert one and did not have the time to learn that  Embarrassed  )

thats so cute!  (and your daughter looks lovely in it!)  that's the greatest feeling ever, when your kids like the clothing you made for em.
(my first few outfits my daughter hated, but she was really little and refused to wear any clothing at all really.)

Ohhh she's so pretty!
Regal indeed! She is like the green king (was the good guy) in a story my grandmother used to read to me, with the red king and the green king Smiley
I love it!

P.S. I through a look over your blog and simply love your style!

That sounds like such a nice story!  Is it from a book, or is a story your grandmother made for you?

About the story: it's more like theme met throughout Romanian folklore stories about the good over the bad, that contain many symbolisms for the folks psychology. They have been passed on by world of mouth since forever. The stories have been reinterpreted by some of our famous writers like Ion Creanga and Mihai Eminescu, and have been translated, although I could not find an electronic version of them...I did find a movie about this: Harap Alb in Romanian...
I'll keep looking, it would be nice to collect them again for us internet people Smiley
