a friend from ack in the day wanted me to make her a bag. She said she collects cherries... so this is what I came up with:

but I don't think she likes it... I think its darling

I made it by blowing up the cherry pattern from the tattoo your towels set to be about 4 inches high.

whaddya'll think?

I LOVE IT! I collect cherries too and I'd be proud to have that on my arm! Very sweet, is it an open bag or dies it have a folded over top? I can't tell from the pic.
Good job!

OOH That's adorable. I really like all of it and I'm usually more of a strawberry fan than cherries but I have to say it's super cute!

thanks everyone!

The bag is pretty much like a pillowcase with a contrast lining. The strip of cherry print at the top is where the lining is folded to the outside so you can see it.

I blew up the pattern by scanning it and then playing with it in Photoshop. I did that because I didn't want to go to the copy store. Then I traced it with a white sulky marker to make a transfer.

my avatar is part of a piece of 70's fabric I found at my local fabric thrift store. I loved it so much I had to scan it... and now I have to figure out what to make with the fabric... maybe a purse? maybe a skirt? I don't know, but I won't cut into the fabric till I'm sure

oh, and she liked it!
