That's a great idea -- or remove a lot of fabric *above* the sleeve so you have shoulder straps, then bare arms, then the fringe and a little bit of sleeve.  Like the one look of the one-seam dress where it's wrapped so it has straps over the shoulders but also straps around the arm, very Grecian.

if you were gonna use the black stretchy fabric as the top maybe you could line it with that blue fringe it would be cute or make the tips blue somebody did that and made a checkerboard for the front of their dress very cute

At the very least, cut the neckline into a deeeep V. Flaunt that cleavage!

Belt the waist. Cut off the sleeves. A slit in the side of the skirt? You've got great legs. (But dont shorten the skirt much if at all -- it would throw the proportions off.)

OR go with the black top/purple skirt. If the dress is from your ex, the more recon, the better.
