tree cosies in the Chicagoist

Has anyone else seen this article in the Chicagoist on knitted tree cosies?  Sweet!  I think it should be a knitting challenge.

I found a parking meter in Worcester, MA with a knitted cozy. I'm pretty sure it was some sort of fun fur yarn. it was cute, then gone then next time i went down that street
