Quilt Challenge #1 Back to School

This is my entry for the first quilting challenge. I made it in about 1 hour last night. Its a gift for my sister (hi sarafina) and it is called back to school.

The little quilt measures 10.5 x 10.5 inches. The binding was hand finished.


The bow is three dimensional and its held on by a few little stitches.

I love that you used the scraps from my bag for the bow. We're going to use every last inch of that fabric.

i took a ton of pictures as i did the binding, so i will turn it into a tutorial and put it up very soon!

Where did you get the measuring tape fabric?

the measuring tape fabric came from the houston quilt show, its by moda and the line of fabrics is called building blocks

aww i reallly really like it, the tape measure bow is genius!  thats such nice gift
