ignore the socks
i had them on
and they were warm
and i didn't want to take them off hahaha

detail & side shot:

anyways i made this dress this summer from an over-sized concert tee that i got at the Jack's Mannequin show
the show was amazing <3

i'm aware that the dress is quite short =.__.=
but it's fun to wear =]

i'm thinking about adding yellow to the bottom to lengthen it a bit
yes/no?

EDIT-->
i made a tutorial, finally! yay!

I think yellow at the bottom would be nice.  But it is cute.  Smiley

How about yellow pleats or ruffle at the hem? I think that would add to your already HOT dress!

Can't ignore the socks. I wear knee socks all the time (but under pants, not usually with mini's  Tongue). Yes, they ARE warm, though! Can't blame you for leaving them on! Well, they match, why not?  Grin

You know what?  I say go for it!  As a 43 yr old , used to be *kinda hot* working on it again, I think that dress is great and you look great in it.  Enjoy your *hot self* and know that that is not all that you are!  If you can sew, you must have some kinda brain  ~~~  well, that's what I say!

And what is this band all about?

thanks for the suggestions
& yeah i usually wear mine under my jeans too haha
well they'd match better if the socks were black too, but they're navy blue & i'm sort of detail-orientated so that'd bother me lol
soooo close though, they have the yellow & red in them like the dress =P

lol well thank you =]
"jack's mannequin" is andrew mcmahon's other band besides "something corporate" it's sort of an autobiography of a year in his life
and i guess some would describe it as piano rock, but it's so much more, he's one of my favorite musicians lol

ooh good idea, skinny pants would be cute
i'm not too big a fan of the whole leggings trend
& i'd wear it w/ a fluffy skirt if i was more sure of myself haha
thanks for the suggestions!
