I've got to start with saying, I have pretty much NO experience with crochet. I made an octopus a couple months ago for my friend's birthday, and I had to re-teach/teach myself how. However, I think this turned out fairly well.

It was a really fast project, I did almost everything in my classes today, and just added the button when I got home. It fits my camera perfectly, because I started over like 8 times to get it perfect. (I had to borrow my mom's camera, which doesn't take as nice of pictures, so I could have the camera in the case.)

Anyways, I'd love your opinions on it!

Oh wow, that was quite awhile ago, let me see if I can remember how I did it. Pretty sure it was just really simple, I crocheted a chain that, when stretch was the length of one of the short sides of my camera. Then I started crocheting around that, I think doing an increase at each end to make sort of a flat piece. Then I just croceted in the round, not increasing any more until my camera fit in it, and then crocheted back and forth for the flap. At the bottom of the flap I chained a loop for the button, but it was sort of too big. I don't know how much this makes sense, but basically just mess with it until it fits your camera/ipod/whatever else you might want a case for.
