UPDATE: As of 5/7/2005

bkrenning4>> Working on none at this time.

kendaljay>> Working on none at this time.

dixieterror>>  RECEIVED HER BOOK!  Working on none at this time.

706designs>>  RECEIVED HER BOOK!  Working on none at this time.

paigeylovespooka>>  Currently bkrenning4, kendaljay. (Going out Friday, May 13?)

INSTRUCTIONS:

We each start a book and send it round robin style onto one another until the book finally comes back to us at the end of the circle.  Due to the time involved, I would like to limit this to 6 people.  It is much easier as an organizer to track the books if they get "stalled" somewhere.

If you need help or inspiration, try:

Swap name: Altered Book Round Robin
Craftster member who is organizing this swap: bkrenning4
Sign-up date range: October 5-10
Date to send item by: You will receive the book to be altered and will have two weeks to complete it and mail it forward...

Limited to a certain number of people? Yes, 6 people limit.

Non-U.S. participants allowed? No, shipping might get too expensive on books going out of the coutry.  And, we have had problems with packages getting lost or delayed in customs, which would throw the timeline off.

All ages allowed? All ages

Organizer is aware of current list of "suspended traders"
list and will not allow those members to participate:
Yes

DETAILS OF SWAP:

We will do it like a quilter's round robin or a journal circle journey where we all start a book and then every two weeks, we mail it on to the next person on the list.  In the end, we all get our original books returned to us.

Please be sure to state somewhere in your book whether it is to be themed or unthemed.

Choose your books carefully, we don't want an extreme amount of mailing costs to be incurred by others.

If you want to participate, information to send to organizer:

QUESTIONNAIRE TO ANSWER:

Name of swap

Craftster username

Email address

Your real name
Mailing address
City State Zip

IF YOU WANT TO PARTICIPATE, REMEMBER TO SEND YOUR INFO TO ORGANIZER VIA EMAIL:  bkrenning4@comcast.net

LIST OF PARTICIPANTS:

YOU WILL MAIL TO THE PERSON FOLLOWING YOUR NAME:

bkrenning4>>  kendaljay>>  dixieterror>>  706designs>>  paigeylovespooka>>  gurlpurl>>  bkrenning4

ALL INFORMATION HAS BEEN SENT!  IF YOU DID NOT RECEIVE THE MAILING ADDRESS OF THE PERSON YOU ARE SENDING TO, PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

Kristine---this would be done with a off the shelf book (like a novel or what have you) right, vs. a blank book?

mmhmm....are we doing it like the doll swap, where everyone decorates the book a little and writes in it? Or do we fix our own book and then mail it out? Or maybe start it, and let everyone else finish it? I like that last idea best.........but whatever our lovely host thinks is fine with me!  eeee....I can't wait!!!! <doing a little dance in my chair>  Grin

When you say words a lot they don't mean anything. Or maybe they don't mean anything anyway, and we just think they do.---Delirium

Yes, it is a shelf book.  You can start the first few pages or just the cover.  Theme or unthemed.  Everyone involved will have an opportunity to use a page or more in the book to alter with their creative genius...

I have closed the Altered Book Round Robin, but if there are other craftsters still interested, I will start a second one.  I have a couple of books I would like to have altered.  Just let me know...
