I'm so happy!  I got three cards in the mail today!

The first is "Baby on the way" from Tristitia, I love the vintage baby image and the punched flowers add a beautiful dimension.

The second is "A Midwife's Protection" by Kaos.  The scan didn't capture the gorgeous watercolour she did...it's so watery and celestial.  Amazing!

And the third is "It's a Boy!" from Pinkangel.  It's hard to see, but the dictionary definition on the top is of "child" and the bottom for "midwife".   It even had the Old English origin listed - with woman.  SO cool!

Thank you so much guys...I know that it was a hard theme, but you all rose to the challenge beautifully!  I'm going to have an enviable set.

Lovely cards, Bhean! I really think it's great how everyone's minds wrapped around each theme.  Lovin' it!
We'll do another PAT the end of next month maybe (unless someone else wants to organize one sooner!)

Mine was really hard to make.  I was really stumped by the masquerade theme, and then the vintage aspect?  I had no idea.

I found the picture of the woman with the mask -- she's an advertisement for some play.  I cut the information of the play off, but then she didn't have a body.  Sad  So I collaged various papers over her -- there's some Greek, some Thai and a vintage Newsweek from the 1960's in there.  Then I thought it needed something else, and I liked the way that clock looked with the other elements (it's a magazine cutout that I sanded a bit).  I had previously chosen the words, so that got added.  Usually I have a much better idea where I'm going with a card, but this one just grew organically.  I think it works for the theme, and I really liked it, but there's something a little odd about it.

I'm glad you can use the ephemera -- I like to put cardstock in the envelop with my cards when I send them, and I see no reason to leave it blank!
