I am fascinated by royalty.  Not princess Di, but alternative versions of royalty.  So, here is my Queen of Hearts.  I have done the queen of hearts before, but with a much different look.  She is a ink drawing that I scanned into my computer then colored.

To make the line more textured I dark on watercolor paper.  Also, in scanning the image the scanner pits up bits of the pencil that I start the sketch with.  This all gives a bit of a crusty look.

I saw the statement near your avatar. We are not Mormon but many of our neighbors are.  Almost all of my daughters friends are Mormon. Mormons seem to love to do crafts.  This is a good thing.

I love the style of this one. great way to portray the queen. you know who this reminds me of? Shel Silverstein. (that's a good thing, I love his drawings)
