There's a place that isn't a craft store or anything, but you can get yarn, thread, fabric, tools, paints, paper, and all sorts of other stuff-- including food and clothing and shoes! I haven't been there in a while, but it used to be that prices were so low it was ridiculous, now I think people are catching on.  I once got some 8-hole black Doc's for $29!!!!  I've gotten name-brand acrylic and watercolor paints for less than a buck there, and all sorts of sewing-related stuff.  It's like a "damaged goods" type of store, and its called "Market Square", or NPS.  It's about one street west of Redwood rd, and about 1500 South. If you go to 17th South and Redwood road, it's just a little bit north and west from there.  The only problem is sorting thru alot of stuff that's not so great, and the inventory is never the same, so if you see a really awesome deal....take it!  And then come home and post for all of us SLC-ers to go too!  Cheesy Hee hee.  That place rocks, huh?  I have not had ANY xtra dough lately and I've been itchin 2 go there to check it out.  Wonder what cool fantastic stuff they have that I can't get.

didya ever go to food 4 less on Main st. and 3500 S.? I think they closed, but again, I've not had any expendable income for a while so I haven't gone in a long long time.  They were cool - sorta like NPs was about 10-15 yrs ago.  I found some good paints and candles and the like there. Plus random sewing and hardware tings.

Hey, do u happen 2 know when (&where they meet) there's a knitting group in SLC?  I saw that there's a SLC stitch n bitch, but they didn't mention the where & when...
