Just sent in my blurb! England is officially represented! Grin And I'm pleased to say we have lots of pubs! I live in the North West of England, kinda between Manchester, Liverpool and Chester.

Phoenixe, I'd be happy to swap with you too, if it's any cheaper for you?

Couldnt you craft one "large" but tiny craft? Like its large because of the time it consumed but tiny in size. Like a painting or some elaborate craft that represents your culture?? Or maybe some miniature, that way it will count as Large and it wont cost you so much $$$!

Exactly. You have to be crafty in deciding what to craft! I crafted fabric stuff because it weighed less. I had also planned to send Swiss fashion magazines & tourist brochures, but that put the weight of the package too high. So, they were left out.

I'm sure I didn't go over the 2 kilos either & the package was sent in one of those bubble envelopes.

Phoenixe, I wouldn't feel bad about sending only an envelope!  A lot of neat things are perfectly flat.  I plan on making all of my things of paper and fabric so that I can send them in an envelope to save money as well!

if I send things as a letter and not as a package... you know, in envelope instead of in a box... than it would be cheaper.
But Honestly, what can you put into ONE envelope? I'd feel awful if everyone's package would be bigger than mine, and it wouldn't be fair, either.  Sad

Oh, well, I'm in a rush now so please forgive me my English everyone. And have a nice day! <3

1. Your English is outstanding. Way to use the subjunctive case, girlfriend!  Smiley

(In American, that means: "you have mastered vivid vocabulary, several complicated verb tenses, and appropriate idiom, young Miss.")

2. IMHO, this is one of the few cases where size doesn't matter.  Roll Eyes
For example, a couple of postage stamps, a pair of earrings, a funny photograph and a tea-bag would fit into a letter-sized envelope. That would fit the rules, fair and square. And it would be PLENTY.

3. Doesn't "big" mean quality of effort, creativity, imagination, and thoughtfullness? Something like the other "size doesn't matter" matter, but one hesitates to take this analogy much further. Let alone beat it to death.

This looks like alot of fun...but I hope more people from other countries sign up...especially if your matching up varanda to someone from hungary...That would make it 4 to 6 so far.  Hmmm.  BTW....I was looking at the list and i took me a good 3 minutes to figure out my state name was mispelled...but I love the misspelling because that's actually how we pronounce it...which is why I was like "Conneticut" yay, that's right...isn't it.  lol....we don't say Connect - icut here...it juts kind of mashes together...maybe I should include a phonetics guide...maybe not.
