I think it'll grow into a monster of a section!  Grin I have so many questions about my machine!

Yeah, a general board would be a really great idea. It could go well under either the clothing or bag boards. Great idea.

Stop being so damned positive. Staring at the sun only blinds some one. By only looking at the positive, you miss an entire beautiful world of shadows and colors. Don't be overly negative, be realistic. The world is so much more complex and beautiful that way.

I've been meaning to post here. I'm completely in support of a sewing questions board. I'm relatively a newbie. I just figured out how to thread the needle and bring up the bobbin thread barely 6 months ago. So obviously, I've got questions...a LOT of them. Most stuff I've had to figure out myself, or call my Granny of the MIL. Having a place to post my newbie, dumb questions and get them answered would be great!

I'm here to suppots this as well!
I just learned to sew, and I have a ton of questions that I'm sure have been asked before. Having one general board for sewing related questions would be great! I'm unsure where to post questions when I have them because it isn't clothing or bag/purse/toy related.

This is an excellent idea.  Smiley

I've been having some questions with my machine (not working properly), and there really is no place to ask them here. That means I've had to resort to other means to try to find the answers. Although the answers may not be had here, it would be nice to find out.

It would be nice if we could include a sticky for minor repair and cleaning helpers or tips, too. Cleaning machine basics would save a lot of wear and unnecessary problems.

I love that sticky idea. I have no idea how to oil my machine, clean it, etc.

I agree, let's have a sewing machine/technique forum - it would be a frequently used section for the newbie and the experienced sewer alike - there are lot of techniques that are very useful but might be used infrequently so a spot to look for a refresher course would be great!
I agree about the sticky, too, and suggest a links section to great sewing sites and sites maintained by the manufacturers.

This would make things so much simpler! It would be awesome to be able to look at all sewing machine-related topics in one place, and it would save a lot of hassle when trying to ask or answer questions.  Wink
