Holiday in Iowa for the last 2 weeks, really got the felting inspiration going.  I have made several of these back in Iowa and gave them away but here are some I have made since.

They were originally intended to spruce up an indoor or patio potted plant (target: that negative space between the soil and the pretty top) but they look good in a vase or just stuck in some earth.

A couple of long, side shots:

Snacker!! WoW I love those!!!  Cheesy They are so playful and so whimsical and just love love love them!!! Fantastic job! I want to see bunches and bunches of them- strategically places in parks and forests- so they look like they're growing there. Just to keep people on their toes. heeheeha.

It also makes me want to do WAY MORE with these.  Wink

Thank you so much!  I am thinking about putting a couple of them in the ground in special places to memorialize love ones who have died.  Additionally, I am thinking about making them huge with lots of things wrapped into them that remind me of them....

lexis, wow (stunned silence).  your wands are amazing.  I love the spirals on the first one.  (off to go check out all your amazing flickr pictures!!!!)

That's SO cool. In such a lovely memento way. beautiful sentiment. xo  Smiley Big ones would be really neat. Please post pics if you do make them- I'd love to see.

Mine are more of a wish stick.  Wink I really wanted a magic wand and thought felt would be the perfect thing on some recliamed walnut. I have more- just no chance of getting a good day to take pics right now.  Tongue

So beautiful and wistful! I hope you don't mind that I've wisted them, then I might remember to try and create something even half as stunning!

I love the idea of entwining memories up into them!

WOW!  Shocked
Snacker & Lexis, just beautiful. I had a big plant once and my rabbit munched all the bottom leaves it could reach. That naked stem would have looked much better with a creation from snacker wrapped around it. Thanks for sharing you two!

Methinks you two were separated at birth... so similar and so, so beautiful!  I'm floored by your wonderful wet felting skills and I really love all the non felted elements you add
