I had some Lion Brand Homespun in "Grape" leftover from my mother-in-law's scarf, so I made this neckwarmer! It's in double crochet, and I used an I hook (5.5 mm). I am keeping my eye out for a round Celtic-style pin with an amethyst in the middle to secure it. I know exactly what I want, I just haven't found it yet! The current buttons are just safety pinned on, and I safety pin it together when I wear it. It only took me a few hours to finish over the past couple of evenings. In the picture, I'm wearing it folded over, so actually what you see is only half the width. Oh, and the buttons are silver, the flash from the camera kinda dis-colored them.

More photos on Flickr - but these are the best.  Grin

i love that you're wearing an oktoberfest shirt too! this is quite lovely, i'm working on a shrug in a similar color yarn, i hope it turns out looking as rich as this does.

I love the color of the yarn!

Those are the EXACT same buttons I put on my black leather jacket after the boring, plain black plastic buttons came off.  It looks much better now!

I own power tools, and I'm not afraid to use them!
