Ok, here's the scenario, My boyfriend left for a study trip to China a week before i had to leave to go back to college.  I told him I didn't know what I'd do with all my time when he was gone, and he said I could make him stuff. So I told him I didn't know what he liked, and he said "I like you."  I told him I couldn't make me for him, but then reconsidered (without telling him, of course). So I made him this silly doll (based on Jess Hutchinson's dolly pattern) and made it to look like the drawings I do of myself all the time. My bangs really go off to the right, but since I always see myself in the mirror my drawings always show my bangs going off to the left...so I did the same with my dolly Smiley haha...enjoy!

(and this is one of my doodles that I have been doing lately...)

Life isn't complete 'til you crochet a uterus for a friend.  Just make sure your fallopian tubes point down and not up! No one needs to lose an eye this way! Wink

I love personal swaps for small stuff (including Hershey Kisses!)! PM me for happy fun rockin' good times!

So cute. I love her little booklet full of patterns. I like that your doll looks sad a little. She misses him? how cute.

I don't know which is sweeter- your boyfriend responding, "I like you" or you making him this adorable little doll! Great job!

Thanks everyone for all the sweet comments Smiley The dolly is waiting for him with all his mail for when he gets home, he's only going to be in China for 3 weeks altogether and they're not going to be in one place the whole time so actually sending it wouldn't have worked well, unfortunately Sad

She's kinda sad looking because that's actually how I draw myself a lot of the time (and yes, she misses him a lot!), i like to just do a little straight line for my mouth instead of a smile, I'm not quite sure why Smiley

He's a very sweet boyfriend, and it was really cute that he responded that he liked me Smiley I know he'll think this doll is cute and funny, it's worth making things for him because he appreciates and likes them!
