this one was quickly done, so i know are many mistakes and my camera slaughtered some of the shading, but i decided t post it nonetheless... the portrait is charcoal and splattered background is watered-down acrylics.

i submitted this before (as my first post) but it was only a link and so i figured i'd put it up again seeing as some lazy people (including myself) dontn like to have to click on links...this was my first ever portrait and only my second time working w/ charcoal.

sorry that there are long-ish descriptions on these, and i hope you'll let me know of any comments, critiques, and suggestions!  Grin

i really like the first one. i'm not sure why but i like the splatters a lot. it gives the picture the right amount of punch to it. (if that makes any sense) you are very talented. both pictures are exquisite. be proud!

I like the splatters in the first one. there usually isn't color in charcoal drawings and I like that.
