Just finished working on keylowatt's doll.  As soon as she is fully dry I will pack her up and send on to Kristine.  Here she is in all her glory!

I just finished Keylowatt and funkyolive.  I forgot to take a picture of keylowatt's doll, but I kept with a "tribal" look and added moss and stones to the base.  As for funkyolive, she reminded me of a princess/fairy, so I added a crystal tiara.  It is hard to see in the pictures but it is there.

They will be on their way to see Tam in Australia this week.  I believe she is out of town until the 24th, so don't get worried if there is a slight delay.

Soon, ladies, very soon, our dollies will be home!

I'll be looking for the dolls, but...

We got word the Friday before Christmas that my navy reservist husband is deploying to Iraq for seven months.  We first heard he was leaving in March, but found out on Christmas Eve that he's leaving January 24.  To make matters more complicated, we'd just put an offer on a house and have to move sometime between the 10th and the 20th.  Most of my craft supplies are already packed.

I will work on the dolls as soon as I can, but can't promise to get them out within two weeks.  Sorry for the holdup -- I promise I'll do my best.

Hijole,

My husband was in Iraq last year around this time for 4 months, so I completely understand.  As much as we all want to get our dolls back home, please take your time.  This is going to be a stressful enough time for you and your family.

Take care.  Stay safe.  Have a good move.

hi all! hope everything is good with everyone...
just finished both of norsgoebel's dolls and remembered to post the picture of dixieterror's... hope you all like them!

I added the cameo necklace and painted the dowel arms/legs

I made a wrap skirt made of strips of fabric knitted together

I did the beaded crown...

...and a seashell throne (which hopefully won't break in shipping!)

have a good weekend,
-emily/funkyolive
