Tomorrow I attend my very first quilting class.  We will be making Heart & Soul.  It uses an X-Blocks pattern by Quilt Queen Designs.  I spent 2 hours at the local quilt store talking to the owner and picking out my fabric.  It was a very nice experience.  I am excited to start.

That pattern is very nice.  Are you using similar colors or something different?

Good luck!

Thanks!! The hearts will be dark red and purple. the zig zag is a cream background with dark red, purple and lavendar dots.  The background will be lavendar.  The class is at 1:00 this afternoon and I can't wait. I will definitely post a picture of the block later this evening.

Great colors!  Took me a few minutes to see how there were 4 blocks in that picture but I now see it!  Are you going to keep going and make the whole quilt?

Yes I will make the whole quilt.  It took me 2 hours to pick the colors and fabrics. So indecisive! The class will meet again in March to do the border.  I haven't sewn the 4 blocks together yet.  I will make all the 48 blocks and then sew them together.

Picking the right colors is very important and also a big part of the fun!
