If you can't convince them, confuse them.

I got my things from dragonslair today!   Unfortunately my digital camera bit the dust over the holidays.  She sent a black canvas messenger bag lined with dragon material.  It will work so great for my books.  My boys were begging to take it to school.... luckily she added some pink so I have an excuse to keep it all for myself Wink  she sent me a matching pencil holder too and a journal decupodged with character sheets.  I needed a new dnd journal so bad too... they're perfect!  Thanks a Bunch!

I don't have pics of kd's bag but I do have pics of my gamers bag.  I will note the differences, I forgot to take pics before sending.  I'm glad you liked the package kd.  Strangely enough I have just been given The Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting for 2.0, too bad we play 3.5.

This is how the bag looks from the front

front to back the bag is 6 inches deep
the pattern was designed to hold my other half's leather bound collection plus a notebook and 3 other additional books

This is the strap, the one on kd's bag is 3 inches wide.... the one shown is 4 inches wide

The pencil case was made using a pattern for a crochet hook rolled type holder only I designed this one to fold tri-fold with 3 pencils on each side and a lager pocket in the center with ribbon ties.  In the one shown my other half asked me to stitch it to the side panel of the bag, but it is the same size and same fabric.  I have had several people ask if I would sell them one of these bags.

kd's bag is black canvas with dragon print lining it, on one side of the strap, and on the side of the flap.  The interior of the flap is pink.  The pencil case is dragons with a pink pocket.  (She said she likes pink)
All seams are enclosed, so there are no exposed edges.  Sorry I just hate leaving edges exposed. So the bag is technically for all accounts completely reversible.

The journal is pink with character sheets printed out and chopped into pieces and decoupaged to the cover.

I got mine from dyanemcs today!

Here's the full treasure take:

(Glad I don't have to split it four ways.) Wink Oh -- and the monochromatic is my deal. I told dyanemcs I was into grey recently, and she ran with it. That means everything I got goes with everything I own. Smiley Bonus!

An adorable, reversable "sword" holder to prevent the kitty from getting into the sharp objects:

A Bag of Holding with a divider and a bunch of pockets inside:

For the torso slot, a +1 Shirt of Protection:

Some nummy-smelling HANDMADE Lilac soap (check out the note: for getting rid of that "just-killed-orcs feeling"):  Grin

FOUR tins of HANDMADE lip balm in green apple, berry wine, raspberry lemonade, and chai spice (with the note "you can't fight the bad guys with chapped lips, after all!"):

and, my fav, the Necklace of Cold Resistance (I told dyanemcs that I didn't crochet or knit, and I'd love something like that -- she did both on this one piece!):

It's our first real cold day here in D.C., and I was pondering skipping out on going to the cleaners tonight because of it. Now I have no excuse. I can bundle up with my "necklace" and fight off the cold and traffic simultaneously. Wink

Boo. Yah. I feel like I drew from the Deck of Many Things and got a great card. Wink Thanks, dyanemcs!!!

I am *so* thrilled that you liked everything, and even happier that the "necklace of cold resistance" fit you, I've never made one before & was super-nervous about it. Yay! I hope mine comes soon, I can't wait!
